When Linda Minor incited 50, she had a mid-life crisis. That’s not uncommon, yet what she did about it was distant from ordinary. Minor, a member services secretary during a Association of Saskatchewan Realtors in Saskatoon, started regulating her vacation time and her possess income to transport to building countries to learn English.
“I had some-more time and money, and we used to be a Realtor so we was used to being concerned in a community,” she says. So she searched for singular opportunities.
In a past 7 years, she has taught English during a goal in farming Panama, during a propagandize in Costa Rica and in dual prisons in Cambodia.

Between trips, Minor volunteers during Global Gathering Place, a non-profit drop-in centre that serves immigrants and refugees in Saskatoon. She assists a clergyman and attends weekly coffee and review gatherings.
At Global Gathering Place, “some of a people are tighten to my age and are starting over. They’re rarely veteran yet work as WalMart greeters to give their children a chance,” Minor says.
